Learning shouldn’t require perfect attention. Our resources reduce overwhelm and support follow-through.
I’m Debra Shepherd—an educator and curriculum designer who believes students with ADHD and learning challenges deserve materials that are built for how they actually learn. Light Up Literature™ combines clear routines, chunked instruction, and purposeful engagement so students can work more independently and experience genuine progress in reading and writing.
Chunked steps, clear visuals, and predictable routines help students focus, follow directions, and build independence.
Middle school ELA skill growth (grades 6–8) with scaffolds that support struggling readers without lowering expectations.
Failure-friendly practice, immediate feedback, and structured writing support help students feel capable—and prove it in their work.
Students succeed when expectations are clear. We prioritize modeling, step-by-step support, and simple directions.
High-interest topics keep students thinking—so engagement supports learning, not distraction.
Everything is designed to build measurable progress in comprehension, evidence, grammar, and writing.
